Dr. Devan Stahl is an assistant professor of clinical ethics in the Center for Ethics and Humanities in the Life Sciences at Michigan State University. She teaches ethics and medical humanities in the College of Human Medicine and she performs ethics consultation services at two local hospitals in Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Stahl’s research interests include end-of-life care, disability, and religion and bioethics. Her newest book, Imagining and Imagining Illness: Becoming Whole in a Broken Body (Cascade Books, 2018), examines the power of medical images and their impact on patients and the wider culture.
